Somerset House in a Summertime Heatwave
Last week, in the middle of the summer heatwave, our London Fanfare Trumpets team was proud to support the team at Bloomsbury Event Group in creating a memorable arrival experience at Somerset House.
Our role in the evening unfolded in stages:
⚓ As guests arrived by boat at Woods Quay, our full 16-piece marching band welcomed them from the jetty with a set of iconic British pop classics, creating a memorable first impression before they even stepped ashore.
🥁 As passengers disembarked, our 4-piece Corps of Drums took over, leading the procession from the river towards Somerset House and building anticipation as the guests made their way to the main entrance.
🎺 On arrival, the drummers rejoined the full marching band to create an even bigger musical welcome before guests headed inside.
✨ Later in the evening, the drummers returned to perform alongside the headline act for a live rendition of Coldplay’s A Sky Full of Stars.
Huge credit goes to every one of our musicians, who delivered with precision, energy and professionalism despite the soaring temperatures.
It was a pleasure to work alongside Matthew Glossop and the team at Bloomsbury Music Group on such a well-executed event.
If you’re planning a corporate event, awards ceremony or brand activation and want an arrival that guests will remember long after they leave, we’d love to help. Get in touch with Thomas Rudd for more information.
